No heat

'97 buick Lesabre heater control display works, but heat does not come out. Air conditioning and heat both only comes out on windshield when it does work. Temperature gauge reads barely over 100 after car is warmed up. Rear defrost does not work and makes a "clicking" noise by the glove compartment.

Replace the thermostat to get more heat. As far as it only coming from the defroster, check for vacuum leaks under the dash. The air flow is controled by vent doors in the HVAC system. If they don't have enough vacuum, it usually will default to the defroster.

As far s the rear defroster, I believe you hear the relay clicking. Locate where the noise is coming from and replace the realy.

Step 1 - A heater cannot operate unless the engine is full of coolant/antifreeze. If coolant level is low check the system for leaks.
