My father tried to change my oil in my acura
He first over filled it.
Then he noticed my oil pan gasket leaking so he tried to fix that. Now my car doesn't leak but it makes a weird loud chirping/whining. It's is not as loud any more.
My car doesn't leak any more but it does occasionaly make that noise.
My friend said he can hear it coming from the distributor.
But how can my distributor mess up with an oil change?

BTW-
couple months prior to this my car was throwing out codes of a miss-fire in one of my cylinders. But then it stopped throwing them.
My car does idle a little hard also.

The noise is a chirping whining noise sounds like it comes from under the car.
First day it was a loud whine noise kinda like a remote control car. Now its just a chirping sound that comes and goes last for about 5 mins a low speeds

Well it was worth a try. I live in apartments so I can't do that. I'll have to wait to my car breaks down to find out what was wrong. Thanks for the help.

Is the noise constant with engine speed or road speed?

Definetly engine speeds. You can hear it get louder at higher rpms and then get lower as my car switches gears.

I would say a belt noise, check all drive belts and have the timing belt checked as well.

I had it checked and they said they hear the noise coming from the distributor.
Still don't see how an oil change would make that go wrong.
