If you're talking about blue smoke-start by checking the valve seals and guides

If that's blue smoke that stops smoking after a few minutes it's due to burning engine oil. That can be due to worn valve guide seals or the oil could be diluted with gas. The problem may go away after the next oil change or after an extended trip at highway speed. That will give the gas a chance to vaporize and be drawn out.
