I have a 1996 toyota tacoma 2.7l 4 cylinder, I just put another motor in it, ik the motor runs, it came out of a truck I wrecked, im getting fire and gas, its got plenty of compression, everything is doing what I feel its supposed to, and its turning over but will not crank, it kinda trys to but wont, and it also has a sorta kick back to it like it stops turning over, but starts back the starter is good the battery is good, if I take the plugs out it turns over properly, but it doesnt want to crank help please.

First chek the battery for condition including load test. It may be weak even though say it's good. Then check your firing order. Check to see if the firing order is correct and dist cap is good and no carbon tracing or cracks. Is the motor same year or prior to 96 if it is all the 96 stuff must be put on it. If it turns over ok without pulugs then it may be the starter is drawing to many amps or you have a cracked cap or firing order screwed up
