Headlights won't turn off?

This morning I went out side and the lights on my daughter's car were on. I tried turning the car on and off but the lights stay on. The high beam indicator is also on all the time and the switch does not change it or allow the lights to turn off.

Any solutions?

Thanks

Hello,

It sounds like the issue is with the switch. It is likely shorted and staying engages all the time.
Sometimes corrosion across the pins can create a short and keep the light on, regardless of the switch position.
This switch is also called the multi function switch.

In order to replace this switch you will have to remove the steering wheel.
Take extra precaution when working around the airbag. Be sure to disconnect the battery before getting started. And always point the airbag inflator side away from you.

Here is a helpful article on steering wheel removal:

I have attached the replacement instructions for your reference.

Please let me know of any questions.
Thank you.
