We have a 96 neon just put a new fuel pump, ignition coil and a new battery and the car still won't start. Do you have any clues why. It acts like it wants to but won't.

Was it running before you changed this stuff?

No we were driving home and it just died coming down a hill. We were told it was the fuel pump so we changed it and all the other stuff but it still wouldn't start

You need to check for spark and fuel pressure. Sudden quit is likely no spark and that is likely crank sensor.
