Car wont start

I have an 1996 plymouth breeze. It wont start unless u first push the command start (which is not starting it either) an then turn the key. However, it cant drive cause as soon as you step on the brake it turns off.

How long since a tune-up? Any applicable trouble codes? Clean the throttle-body, check the idle air system. Your saying it cranks good but won't start?

Had a tune up and oil change lately, jus replaced the battery and the alternator. It's been giving me trouble to start sometimes for awhile. When I turn the key sometimes it was starting on the first try. Other times I had to take it out and try again. Also, the command start was working fine but it wont start the car now. SO. The command start alone does not work. And the key alone does not work. When I push the button to start it and everything lites up, I turn the key and it will start. However it runs like it is jus command start, cause when u step on the brakes it shuts off.

Also. Someone else told to just disable the command start, cause it seems as if it is whats interfering.
