Misfiring/ running rough/ erratic

Hi,
My car when it starts runs fine (you can barley hear it), no issues.

However after I have been driving it for 20/30 minutes when I drop revs it runs very rough, like its misfiring. I have to feather the clutch/ keep revs high to keep it going. If it does stall it then will not start for about 20/30 minutes. Thought when it does start normally no problems again. Though if I am driving on the motorway with my foot permanently to the floor no problems. Its when I start accelerating/ decelerating that problems occur.

This problems happened about 2 years ago during the summer but eventually passed. I couldn't diagnose the problems then so I then replace sparks/ leads/ cap etc. And it stopped but we were passing into winter. Then again this summer seems to be happening again. As far as I can see fan cooling systems working fine, spark plugs/ leads are fine and no other issues with car.

I've had the car 4 years and no other problems with it.

Any ideas on possible fault?

Cheers. Dave

Cheers.

Noticed was logged as clutch. Had new clutch about 8 months ago so hopefully isn't that.

Engine management light come on periodically but never stays on and the light coming on does not correspond to the car failing/ running rough. I don't know how to get codes of it and every time I have taken it to the garage the light isn't on so cant get a reading.
