I have a 1996 Isuzu Rodeo 2.6L 4 cyclinder. I have owned the vehicle for about 5 months now. The vehicle is a good running truck the only draw back was that when I first purchased the vehicle; every three weeks or so it would just die (could happen while driving down the road or while just idling). The idle was corrected by replacing the air idle control module. Idles fine now. The stalling problem continued. The car would always restart after about 3-5 minutes of sitting. I bought a can of starting fluid to help trouble shoot the problem the next time it happend. It stalled again and I sprayed starting fluid into the intake to see if it would fire up. (It didn't) So I realized that I was having an ignition problem. After that test, I replaced the ignition control module. The car ran fine and never stalled for about a month. Last week the vehicle died again and left me stranded along side the road, I went back the next day to get the vehicle and it would not start. I replaced the ignition coil and the vehicle started right up and ran fine for a week. This morning (may 3, 2011) I went out to take the vehicle to get gas and it died on me and could not get the vehicle to restart (even with starting fluid) I figured that I may have got a bad ignition coil so I took it back and replaced it again. After I put the new ignition coil back on it fired right up and ran for about 30-45 seconds and then stalled and would not start.

PARTS:

No snapping blue spark continue to troubleshoot the ignition system-power input to the coil/coil packs, coil's resistances, distributor pick-up coil, ignition control module, cam and crank sensors and computer Note: If it doesn't apply disregard it.
