1996 Dodge Ram 1500 5.2 liter

It will not start, changed everything that would not let it start. Not getting no fire from coil, and the ASD clicks real fast when you turn key on, and there is power to the coil on both sides the ground and the positive sides, and when you crank it over it has no power to it then. Help!

We put a new engine computer in it and a crank sensor and a cam sensor, new coil, and key switch

Need to find out why ASD is clicking on and off. Have tried replacing ASD relay? Try retreiving codes turn key on, off, on, off, on in 5 sec. MIL will flash two digit code. So flash, flash pause flash, flash, flash, flash = 24. Post any codes

Yes I have replaced the relay and did not make a difference, And I have a snap on solus pro computer scanner and it is not show nothing on the scanner.

Good disconnect alt place scanner in OHM mode check resistence at ASD connector and ASD output dark green/orange wire. If more than 5OHMS repair short to ground if less monitor scan tool disconnect each injector in sequence if resistence is more than 5 OHMs when injector disconnected replace injector. Think either ASD short or ijnector causing ASD to chatter cutting off voltage to coil and Ijn.

Ok I think I have found what is making the ASD chatter, I pulled the Auto Trans Relay and it stopped chattering, what all does the Auto trans Relay work so I can start checking each component.

Trans relay powers off fuel pump relay so problem maybe in Trans solenoids

Inside on valve body but codes would be present. So maybe fault in wiring. See diagrams OHM check for continuity and for ground fault

On the transmission there is a plug by the shifter linkage, only has three wires going to the inside of the trans. And there is a black/white with 5 volts, a purple that has no volts and a black/green with 5 volts on it. And I noticed something else under there while I was checking these wires for volts, that the fuel pump runned all the time, you know they are suppose to runa few seconds and kick off, It still runned the whole time while I was testing and run til shut the key back off.

I found that solenoid, and tested as the diagram showed and all has power but numbers 5, 7 on the diagram. What next

Not looking for power OHM check to TCM and relay see if wiring is good IE. Not grounding. Unplug at trans does it start?
