Why is my 96' chevrolet S-10 losing oil pressure while I drive?

Hello,

Oil pressure can be low due to a faulty oil pump. It can also be low if the oil level is low.
So first make sure the oil is at the correct level.
Keep in mind that the pressure on the gauge can read low due to a faulty sensor.
Test the sensor to see if it is functioning properly.
You can check the resistance of the sensor by using a multimeter.
With the engine off the resistance should be at one ohm. With the engine running it will be about 44 ohms. If the sensor reads lower than 44 ohms, replace sensor.

If the sensor is good, then it could be a bad oil pump.
