Truck Keeps Cuttin Off

My 1996 Chevy Blazer has started cutting off while im driving, Its a V6 and has 205000 miles, I thought it was the battery because the battery signal and check gages signal comes on when the truck cuts off but it still did it with a brand new battery please help

So does it complete die or does the engine shut off and turn back on while driving?

The engine shuts off and I have to get a jump to crank it back on

It cranked back up once, when I put the brand new battery in it but other wise I need to get jumped off to crank back up

Alright sounds you might have a charging problem have your battery and alternator tested. Let me know what you find.
