Rear seal auto gearbox 940

If I remove prop shaft out gearbox can you remove the end seal without any problems

Seems plausable to me. As long as you dont carelessly do unnecesary damage.

Reason I asked the question there a small end section on the gearbox and a volvo mechanic couldnt remember if you had to remove the section to fit new seal cause needs a gasket from sweden if the end section needs to be removed but thanks for your help

You can generally make your own gasket by buying the raw material or use a gasket sealing compound if necessary. I myself stopped being a "purist" long ago. Saves time and money.
