I hired a mechanic to repair the kick-down throttle cable and the rear main seal on my car. He took the car apart took my money and never returned. I had my husband fix it which it took him three times dropping the transmission to get the flywheel right. Now when we turn it on it has a timing problem and when we drive it it does not go through its gears. Please let us know what's going on. Is it the throttle cable / gear belt? How do we fix it? Please.

It is probably the throttle cable is not adjusted correctly or is binding. This seems to be quite involved to repair this right. If is to much for your husband to do, have a transmission repair professional do the repair. Measurement in picture is for kick-down. Also if transmission worked okay prior to repair then it is a problem with the adjustment.
