See if there is codes if the egr is sticking it will set a code. Look in the plug holes with a flashlight to see if there is water in there. Also check the plugs and coil towers you might need a set of plugs and wire's. Also make sure your car doesn't have platnuim plugs in it they carbon foul in those cars and will cause miss fires. Let me know what you find.

So I took out the spark plugs lastnight and inside the wells was a rusty colored liquid that almost looked like oil. I actually tasted it to see if it was oil as I used to work for an oil distributor and have had my fair share of oil splash on me. It didnt taste like oil and the tips of the plugs were rusty. I purchased some new plugs but havent had the chance of changing them yet. I wiped the wells with a paper towel to dry them out and will be changing the plugs later today. Do you think the usty pulg tips could cause this problem?

Your welcome glad to hear it if the towers were badly corroded best to replace the coils themselves at that point.

What I have seen is if there bad enough after cleaning the wires wont stay on the coil. Did you put dielectric grease at each end of the plug wires? If not you need to do that. Also did you ever check and see if you had any codes?
