1995 Oldsmobile 98 no crank no start

While cranking see if terminal a1 yellow wire with a black stripe is getting a ground?

I get no reading from yellow/black wire with test light or vom. Maybe I am doing the test wrong. I retested all wires get 12.25 volts on both yellow and purple wires only when switch is in the crank position. With switch only in on position there is no voltage.

The yellow wire with a black stripe your looking for a ground not power on that wire while cranking.

No voltage to yellow/black wire. Did recheck all wire 12 volt to purple wire while cranking 12 volt to both yellow wires no power to yellow/black. What I did see was while checking the wires with switch in crank position light come on with switch fully engaged the test light would go out?

Not sure what you mean by with switch fully engaged the test light goes out?Also for the third time the yellow wire with a black stripe should be a ground not a power. If your using a test light you would hook up the aligator clip on the test light to power. Then test the yellow wire with a black stripe the test light should light up with the key in the start position?.

When I say fully engage that is the key is being held it the crank position and the test light comes on and then goes out.
