My 1995 ford escort started shaking, rattling, and will not get any speed. The only warning sign was that I had to try 2-3 times to start it the past two days.

There could be a problem with fuel delivery or fuel management sytems. Also, if the car has not had spark plug, wires, etc, (general tune up) as needed, that could certainly cause problems. You might need to have a reapir shop give it a tune up and have the injectors cleaned.
