Why would my dodge ram 1500 stall while driving and I wait a wile and it starts again could it be a bad crankshaft sensor

Yup. Crankshaft position sensors and camshaft position sensors often fail by becoming heat-sensitive and will work again after they cool down for an hour or so. Usually there will be a diagnostic fault code stored in the Engine Computer's memory pointing to the circuit with the problem.
