95 Dodge Dakota

On my dodge dakota 95 I left the lights on andand ran the battery down, put a battery charger on it all night. I woke up took the charger off and started it and it rev, ed up to 2500 rpms in park and neutral, but drive and rev it went back to normal rpms, any ideas.

Could be that its relearning the idle speed due to the battery being run down/dead- also test the idle air control motor
