Is it possible that when my shop replaced the rear wheel bearings on my 1995 Caravan, they messed up the brakes? My brakes are now grating!

Yes, I took it back, however they couldn't replicate the grating sound I heard and they said the pads looked fine. I guess I'll just have to drive it some more and see if it happens again. Could you explain for me how it might have been possible to affect my brakes when replacing the wheel bearings? I'm not very good with cars. Thanks!
