1995 Chevrolet Silverado Slack in transfer case

I have slack in my transfer case where the axle bolts to the transfer case I have replaced the axle with a brand new one and double checked the bolts they are still tight I can grab the axle an move it an the whole plate an all moves where it is attached to the transfer case

If you mean that you can move the axle toward the trnsfer case and then away from it, back and forth; you likely have worn bearings that support the transfer case yoke.

Also, check the center yoke nut to be sure it is tight.
