1995 Chevrolet Lumina loss off power misfiring

It shakes I replaced the spark plugs which needed to replace on start up it there is a little shaking it the exhaust smells like alot of gas burning too much gas from incomplete combustion when I rev it I hear it misfire im wondering if it could be the coil pack or the spark wires or what else it could possibly be when driving very very slow acceleration doesnt change gears like its supposed to

Scan for codes and check fuel pressure first auto parts rent gauge

Then check for a vacuum leak, and compression. Check resistance of plug wire 5000 ohms per foot then check for spark if all that fails take to a pro as misfires are very hard to diagnose. It can be any sensor he should be able to scan as auto parts can't

Thank you I meant to put backfire so ill probably start with a fuel pressure test
