What is that number off of? I am showing automatic transmission types as A340F for 2.4, and A340H for 3.0. The manual transmission is shown as G40, G57, G58, W46, W55, W56, R150 and R15OF. That seems like a lot of options, more than would be available for just the pickup. Those may be all manual transmissions in all trucks, or even allmanuals in 1994 vehicles, it does not specify.

Its off the side of the transmissions. Our old transmission slips & we purchased a new one but the the transfer cases are different. We're trying to figure out whether or not we could put the old transfer case on the new transmission.

The number may be a serial number, or something specific to the manufacturer of the transmission(aisin). What were the specifics from the transmission that you purchased, was it a newer year, or different engine size? The only consideration is the mounting of the transfer case(is it the same bolt pattern?), And whether or not the number of splines on the output shaft are the same. Unless of course you got one from a six cylinder and it was supposed to be a four cylinder, then you might be dealing with more specifics like gear ratios.
