Squeaky belt sound with AC off

So I noticed last week I must be out of coolant since the ac blows but not cold air. O haven't added any yet. Then today mainly while at red lights I heard a horrible squeaky loose belt sound but it stopped when I turned the ac on. Any suggestions? Thank you!

First, the engine coolant isn't related to the AC. However, if it is low, check to make sure it isn't leaking on to the belt. Next, check belt tension. Make sure the belt is tight and dry.
