My car wont start all the time

I take it out of park and put it back it might start. Totally flat battery today so got a jump but did not help, could not start it started with a jump last week and kept going since. I only had to move gear stick and it started.

POSSIBLY THE NEUTRAL SAFETY SWITCH?

FAIRMONT WAS PRODUCED BETWEEN 1978-1984 (MAYBE '83) THEN THE "TEMPO" SORTA TOOK IT'S PLACE
