Which components should I troubleshoot for this starting problem?

1994 Ford E150 5.8lL will start but run only for a second. The vehicle had been stored for several months before the condition began.

Long storage sometimes can result in some control valves etc to bt stuck and cause problems. Did you try blipping the throttle to see if it helps?
