Why does my car die out on me?

I'll be driving the car and it will without warning die out and then not start. Sometimes it dies out when your stopped at an intersection and sometimes in the middle of driving. After it dies, it won't and and it doesn't get spark. If you let it sit for a minute it will start right back up like nothing happened. It started doing this about two weeks ago. A month ago I replaced the optispark distributor and the coil. Today I replaced the ignition control module and it will still die. I tried to get it to die in my driveway so I could diognose it but it only wants to die when I'm out on the road. Please help, I'm thinking it might have to do with some wire somewhere but at this point I have no idea.

Based on the symptoms you've described, there could be a few potential causes for the sudden stalling and no-start issue in your 1994 Chevrolet Camaro. Here are a few possibilities to consider:

Ignition Switch: A faulty ignition switch can cause intermittent loss of power and result in the engine stalling. It's worth checking the ignition switch and its connections for any signs of wear or damage.

Fuel Delivery Issues: Insufficient fuel delivery could also be a potential cause. A failing fuel pump, clogged fuel filter, or a problem with the fuel pressure regulator can lead to inadequate fuel reaching the engine, causing it to stall. It might be worth checking the fuel system components and ensuring proper fuel pressure.

Crankshaft Position Sensor (CKP): The CKP sensor provides information about the engine's crankshaft position and speed to the engine control module (ECM). If the CKP sensor is faulty or intermittently failing, it can cause the engine to stall. Consider having the CKP sensor checked or replaced if necessary.

Wiring or Electrical Issues: Given that the problem seems to occur intermittently and you suspect it might be related to a wire, it's possible that there could be a loose or damaged electrical connection. Inspect the wiring harnesses, connectors, and grounds related to the ignition system and fuel system for any signs of damage or poor connections.

ECM/PCM Issues: A malfunctioning ECM or PCM (engine control module or powertrain control module) could cause the engine to stall. However, this would typically be accompanied by other noticeable symptoms such as warning lights on the dashboard. If you suspect an issue with the ECM/PCM, it's recommended to have it diagnosed and tested by a qualified mechanic.

Given the complexity of diagnosing electrical and intermittent issues, it might be helpful to consult a professional mechanic with experience working on Chevrolet Camaros. They will have the necessary expertise and diagnostic tools to pinpoint the exact cause of the problem. Providing them with a detailed description of the issue, including the recent repairs you've made, will assist them in troubleshooting and resolving the problem more efficiently.

Ok I'll check that. But the thing is that it runs absolutely fine and then dies and and it doesn't get spark for about a minute. Them it runs fine again. It's seems to like to die in the middle of busy intersections unfortunately.
