Shifter auto sticking 93 Camry 4 cyl

My auto shifter is sticking in park, is there a way to bypass, If I take off park lock switch, will this work, and still be able to put in gears without switch lock in park

Check the brake lights. If they are not working, the shift lever cannot be moved out of park.

On gear console, there is an override button ( Red color) that you can press to move out of park.
