I have a 1993 pontiac grand am, after driving it for awhile, when I come to a stop the car starts shaking and******** and shuts off, I can start the car back up and it idles fine but when I try to shift gears the car shuts off again. I had the transmission replaced but still have problems.

It sounds like the TCC (torque converter control) solenoid sticking in overdrive. If you open the hood and look straight down at the transmission, you should see a large plug, usually round. Unplug it and drive the car again and see if the problem is gone. If so, you will have to get the TCC solenoid replaced.
