Pajero 2.8tdi starts easily but conks out a few minutes later. A lot of cranking restarts vehicle & it's fine for the rest of the day. It is happening more frequently as time passes. Sometimes conks out in the same place.

Check for fuel hose leakages. Symptoms indicates the possibility of air in fuel system.

When engine stals, use the manual pump to prime the system and test if it is easier to start.
