Is there anything special you have to do with a fuel injection engine to get it started after it's completely out of fuel. I changed the fuel pump and now I can't get it statred.

Use a gage and check fuel pressure. Check the circuits at the fuel pump connector for voltage and ground. Any applicable mil codes? Engine cranking, do you have spark at the plugs?

Just to add, at the fuel pump connector, orange wire with black tracer is voltage, black is ground, check for voltage with engine cranking.

I know the fuel pump is good. I just need to know if there is anything special you have to do to a fuel injected engine to get it started after it has been completely drained of fuel. I don't know very much about fuel injected engine.

Not that I know about. Most people don't want to fool with testing, but, that is up to you. Have a good day.
