Will this scratch hurt anything

I have a 1993 ford ranger with a 2.3l 8 spark plug 4 cylinder dsi efi it has a roller cam I have a 1996 head on it I am going to swap in a 1993 cam into the 1996 head giving me a lift. Of. 443 There are some scratches on the cam where the journals will contact one pretty good one on the retainer end will this hurt anything can I buff them with 1000 grit sand paper

SEE UNS HOW WE CANNOT SEE AND FEEL YOUR PROBLEM

I REALLY URGE YOU TO TAKE IT TO AN AUTOMOTIVE MACHINE SHOP FOR A "BETTER LOOKING AT"

. AND THEY MAY BE ABLE TO CHUCK IT UP INTO A MACHINE WHICH THEY POLISH CRANKSHAFT AND OTHER JOURNALS IN. THEY WILL MOST LIKELY HAVE A "BELT SANDER LIKE TOOL" THAT ALONG W/ POLISHING ROUGE AND DO A MUCH NICER JOB THAN YOU COULD DO
