93 dodge dakota truck, v8, failed smog, after it warms up it the idle becomes rough, has good power on acceleration, smog test had hi hydrocarbon and hi nox at 2500 rpm. What are the possible causes for this situation?

High HC -could mean an ignition misfire, lean fuel condition and engnine compression problem

High: EGR valve not opening and also a defective 3 way catalyst and computer controlled system that stays in the open loop mode-
