1992 toyota camry le ignition problem. I can turn off engine but can't go any further. The only way I can turn ignition completely off and remove key is by disconnecting battery. What is my problem? Harry

The key interlock is preventing the key from being turned to the lock position.

Ensure the gearshift is in the P position. Try wiggling the gearshift to test and if it works, the gear shift or Park Neutral Position switch needs to be adjusted.

No, the security would not cause such problems. Only the shift lever and key interlock would.
