Changed head gaskets now were putting things back together and notice that the 2 cam gears are identical. Both gears have 2 key slots one says 3v and the other 4v I have know idea which way to put them back on. This is on a 1992 camry v-6

Note the camshaft timing marks. If it is single dot, it should match the single dot cam gear and is for the left head.

Double dot to double dot for the right head.

Wrong gears, I guess I should have said the timing gears for the timing belt. The cam meshing gears are ok

Thank you for that, at least we have one in the right position. But what about the left gear, that mark is not in the pic. The right gear clearly shows 3v, but that is left out in the pic for the left cam gear and I can't find anywhere it is noted in any documents. Please just a little more help if you can. Thank you

You have 2 cam gears, one is for the right, the other should be for the left. Just remember to note the timing marks. I do not have any other diagrams showing the complete markings.
