Jiffy Lube drained the oil from the engine in my vehicle. The moved to a smog check before filling the oil. As a result of reving the motor to 2500 RPMs for an extended period of time my engine blew. Jiffy Lube recomended repairs are to replace the block but still use the upper prortion of the motor and offer no waranties. Commons sence would tell me that the upper portion would have been damaged as well. Is this repair recommendation acceptable?

Do you have a local auto repair shop in your area that you trust? Do you have a lawyer? Your going to NEED BOTH ! Jiffy Lube screwed up, & now they want to do this as cheaply as possible while putting the hurt on you ! DON ' T allow your truck to be taken to a repair shop of their choice to do this repair ! You need (want) a COMPLETE NEW (or rebuilt) motor.& NOTHING less ! If the motor ran without oil in it, the upper end is junk also. You may also want to complain to your local or state agency about this, & put these fools out of business !
GOOD LUCK !
