My 79 chevy van has a problem every time I try to put the pedal to the floor and get her goin she bogs out and dies?

Check the ignition timing and the carb accelerator pump and main metering/power valve-Check the fuel pressure if its within specs

My van runs fine as long as im moving but when I com to a stop it stall it always starts right back up but it also is slugish when you take off what can I do? Can I turn up the idle

Hi:
Have you checked for vacuum leaks? With the engine running, carefully listen for hissing sounds. With the engine off, look for damaged, broken, or disconnected hoses.

Let me know what you find.
