I cant seem to find out what this ugly knocking noise is!

I am hearing a loud knocking sound in the engine. I was able to narrow it down to the 8th Cylinder but still cant figure out what it is, just added oil so it cant be that, im totally stuupmed I have no idea what it is, and I dont want to buy something and it not be the problem, and im stuck without a car till I get it fixed, PLEASE HELP!

Could be a hundred things. Without seeing and hearing it, we are guessing.
Could be a piston, rod bearing or main bearing or something in the valve train.

You should have a shop at least check it for you.
