How do you jack up a motor on a 1992 Cadillac Deville. I was failed for 2 motor mounts this will be the first time they have ever been changed so I got the years out of them. While I am replacing the right side motor mount I want to also change the oil pan gasket. That is leaking to that has never been changed either. I only have a floor jack and jack stands I just don't know where to put the jack at to lift the motor up. Thanks.

Use a block of wood and put either between crank balancer or oil pan itself then jack it up if removing pan follow these instructions and do the pan first. Disconnect negative battery cable. Raise and support vehicle. Drain oil. Remove 2 flexplate covers. On Eldorado and Seville, disconnect exhaust pipe from left manifold, and move to one side. On all models, remove oil pan bolts and oil pan.
