1992 Park Ave. Everything works inside but it will not turn over using the key. No security light on in dash. Jumped the starter and it turns over and runs a few minutes then dies. Any ideas?

How long since a tune-up? Any applicable mil codes? Use a gage and check fuel pressure. If idle issue, clean the throttle-body and iac.

You can turn the key and it will not turn over but all lights and other electronics work fine. Croseed the starter out with a screw driver and it will turnover and run for a minute then dies like it isnt getting any fuel.

The purple wire at the starter solenoid should be hot with key in the crank position, note wiring below. Could be security system? According to forum rules, I can't tell you how to bypass the pellet in the key. Besides, if the problem is elsewhere in the security system, that bypass won't work anyway.

Is there a way to send power to the fuel system to see if it will run.I'm thinking that it is the key chip. But all of the answers i've found online states that the security light should be on. It will run on carb cleaner for a few minutes after I cross out the starter from underneath the car so I know it's getting fire just no fuel.

Your security system can be effecting the starter and fuel injectors. I can't help you bypass anything, even if I knew how.

There is info all over the web about the vats security system, if that is what you have?
