Hi guys - working on a 1990 Mazda 323 1.3L petrol engine. I've just swapped out the Distributor and wanted to ask what the ignition timing should be? Have spent some time trying to find this on the net but having no joy - would be obliged if you could help

Many thanks

Frank

Here is the info on how to set the ignition timing for your engine.

1. Warm engine to operating temperature.
2. Turn all electrical loads "OFF."
3. If using Mazda System Selector (SST #49 B019 9A0), connect to diagnosis connector. Set switch "A" to position "1" and test switch to "SELF-TEST" position.
4. Connect tachometer and timing light.

NOTE: If Mazda SST is not used, install a jumper wire between diagnosis connector "TEN" and "GND" terminals.

Check out the images (Below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.
