I have a 1990 wrangler 2.5L. It died on me while jeep was in motion. I heard a metal clank, a mild **** and then it just died. I took off the starter and checked. It was good. I also put it in fourth gear and rocked it back and forth and the fan turned. WhAT could this be?

What is the situation now. Is it cranking and not starting or just not cranking?
