GMC Jimmy 1990: why my AC blower fan smokes when I turn on AC.

I have placed with new ac blower fan, when AC came on air was blowing strong for about 20 seconds, then I heard a strong sound from the AC Blower and the blower was hot when I touch it.

It's likely either a short in the wiring or a failed resistor that's shorting out.

First and foremost, make certain you just did not get a bad blower motor. Then I would look into the wiring.
