I have a 1990 Dodge V-6 fuel injected engine. The electric fuel pump located in the gas tank has gone bad. Advance want $100 for a replacement. I have access to 2 tremendous junk yards. They charge $13.00 for any electric fuel pump on the lot. What internal or external fuel pump on any car or truck can I use. It has to push 14.5 pounds of pressure. Between you and me I prefer external.

You have no alternatives here. You can only use the OEM unit that it came with that goes inside the tank. You could try a used one but that is a real roll of the dice and I don't advise it. It's a lot of work to do all over again for a bad pump.
