1990 Cadillac Deville water pump housing

Car ran hot. Took to garage. Have water pump replaced. After put back. Together mechanic found new leak. Apparently the intake line on the water pump housing. Which he said is metal. Apparently is cracked. Yet he couldn't tell me the exact name of the piece. Or how to fix the problem. Only that his garage did not do that kind of work. What can you tell me about this problem and how to fix it?

I don't see that line, here is what the water pump looks like and there is no line under the intake. Check out the images (below). Please upload pictures or videos in your response of any problems so we can see what to help you with.
