1989 Ford Mustang Slow acceleration

I have an 89 mustang 5.0 after I get into second gear it revs high when I give t gas and it has to catch up to itself before I get anything so its accelerating slow I have been told its either the clutch or flywheel

It's probably the clutch disc or pressure plate is bad. The flywheel may need resurfacing though.
