I got the switch unplugged, but I don't see any wat to release the lever from the multi-function switch. How do I get it off?

Isn't this all one piece? The signal switch and the CC switch? I'm trying to picture how they were in 88.

The CC Switch is on the end of the wand/lever. After some research, I need to clarify that the wand/lever goes into the turn signal switch instead of directly into the multifunction switch. I don't know if the wand/lever can be removed from the signal switch independently or if the whole wand and signal switch have to be replaced together.

I got it figured out. The lever pulls out of the turn signal switch with a little effort. There is an indent around the rod that goes into the switch. This is under pressure to hold it in place. Thanks for the responses.
