1987 GMC S15 Why is my truck dying?

It will start just fine. But when I push the gas in and then take my foot off and let the engine settle in seems the rpms dip low and the engine stalls. But it will idle perfectly fine. Its only when I give it some gas and let off. Im not sure if it is electrical because I dont have anything on when it happens. Not even the radio. Ive replaced the plugs and wires. I dont know what it could be?

Have you verified correct engine timing? Before checking, there is a harness located underneath the passenger side dash/carpet that needs to be disconnected. From there, you need to verify base timing. Once that is done, we can eliminate it, and proceed on getting you fixed up.
