Car will not start after timing belt issue

Water pump went out, in the process of replacing I messed up the timing, we fixed it once but it was still slightly off, car started but sounded really bad, fixed it again and started it and it sounded great, put the rest of the pullies and belts on and went to go for a test drive and the car wouldnt start. I tried jumping it and I replaced the spark plugs, nothing worked. I can bump start it but it dies while idling, motor still sounds good, no clunking or clinking, but I cant keep it alive.
