My 1987 dodge caravan will start and idle fine but when I try an accelrate there is no power and it pops back through the carberator let off and it goe back to idling fine

This could be a few things. First, I need to know what engine you have. Next, have you checked for vacuum leaks? Have you checked fuel pump pressure? Have you checked to make sure the catalytic converter is plugged?
